Your Twitch, Kick or YouTube channel banner is the first thing someone sees when they reach your page, before they press play on anything. At Epik Streamer we design custom banners that communicate who you are and what content you make, and you can buy yours per unit at $20.

What a banner is and who it’s for

It’s the cover image of your profile. It doesn’t change during the stream: it sits on your channel page and reinforces your identity. An a la carte banner makes sense if:

  • You already have a logo and colors and only need the cover.
  • You changed your style and want to update your image.
  • You’re opening a channel on a new platform and need a banner with that platform’s dimensions.

What’s included

The service is one banner designed around you, with one revision included. It’s sold per unit. Any other piece or format you didn’t order is treated as an additional service. In the packs, the banner works like this: Boost and Creator include 1 banner for a single platform, and the Epik pack includes banners.

Dimensions by platform

The dimensions depend on where the banner is going. This is what the platforms say:

  • YouTube. A minimum upload size of 2048 x 1152 px at a 16:9 aspect ratio, and a recommended size of 2560 x 1440 px, especially for TV screens. Text and logos should stay inside a safe area of 1235 x 338 px, and the file should be 6 MB or less. YouTube recommends not adding shadows, borders or frames to the image.
  • Twitch. For the profile banner, the recommended size is 1200 x 480 px, up to 10 MB, in GIF, JPG or PNG. If the image is taller or shorter than 480 px, it’s scaled to that height.
  • Kick. Its channel branding guide says to keep important elements away from the edges, which may be cropped on different devices.

A banner that works on one platform can get cut off on another. So in the brief, tell us which is your main platform.

How it works

  1. You buy on PayPal. One-time payment, in full.
  2. You send your brief over WhatsApp or Discord: how you want to be recognized, what sets you apart, your personality, your logo, your colors and your fonts.
  3. Production and delivery. They start once the brief is complete and the payment is made.
  4. Revision and approval. One revision included per piece; from the second, there’s a charge. With payment in full and your final approval, usage is assigned to you for your personal brand and channel.

Common mistakes when making a banner

  • Putting text at the edges. It gets cropped depending on the device. Keep what matters inside the safe area.
  • Too much information. A banner isn’t a panel. A name, a phrase and one visual element are enough.
  • Not matching the rest. If your banner uses different colors than your overlay and your avatar, your channel loses cohesion.
  • Stretching a small image. It loses sharpness, especially on large screens.
  • Wanting an identical banner for every platform. Dimensions and crops change from one to the next.

A single banner or a pack

If you only need the cover, an a la carte banner is the direct route. If you’re building or refreshing your channel, the Boost pack combines a logo, 3 overlays, 3 panels and 1 banner for one platform, and the Creator pack adds emotes, badges and OBS setup. To complete your channel’s image, also look at overlays and panels. If you’re unsure where to start, read the comparison of Twitch, Kick and YouTube; and for visual consistency, the guide to streamer branding.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a banner cost?

Each banner costs $20. The Boost and Creator packs include 1 banner for a single platform, and the Epik pack includes banners.

Can I use the same banner on Twitch, Kick and YouTube?

It's usually not a good idea. Each platform displays the banner with different dimensions and crops (YouTube, for example, has a 1235 x 338 px safe area). That's why it's best to plan one banner per platform and tell us in the brief which one is yours.

What's the difference between a banner and an overlay?

The banner is the cover image of your channel page. The overlay is the graphic layer you see inside your live stream, in OBS. They're different pieces and are bought separately.

How many revisions are included?

One revision included at no extra cost per piece. From the second one there's an additional charge, and a change of concept is treated as a new production.

How do I pay?

Payment is in full and direct on PayPal, at the time of purchase. There are no later charges.

What do I need to get started?

Your complete brief: your creator name, your content, your main platform, your visual identity (logo, colors, fonts) and references. Production and delivery start once the brief is complete and payment is made.
